History of the TOM service s.r.o.

The company TOM service s.r.o. Holice was founded in 1991. Their business portfolio mainly included spare parts for the automotive industry, car generator repairs and the renovation of brakes and brake segments.

The business and repair activities were expanded in 1998 when the company merged with ČSAD Technický a zásobovací závod Holice.

The company then connected to their long term experience in job-order manufacturing, repairs of trucks and trailers, buses and the sale of spare parts.

Particularly their long term experience in the production of special trailers for transportation of heavy metallurgical materials, bulk cargo trailers for transportation of loose materials and JUMBO low loaders with numerous modifications were crucial for the expansion of the company production with a focus on forest management connected to the shipment of wood.

The outcome of this was the wide ranging production line of TOM trailers, the assembly of hydraulic cranes and the LIGHT trailers body, including the completion of logging pole trailers and the production of other trailers.

The production programme was also expanded by specialised hook container carriers and the assembly of hydraulic hands for hauliers operating in the communal and building industries.

To ensure such activities, a hydraulic centre connected to the production and repairs of hydraulic rollers, the production of hydraulic pipes and the supply of further components from this area was established.

The company repair activities include a wide range of services offered to all hauliers while focusing on truck repairs, commercial vehicles and domestic and foreign branded trailers, including bus repairs.

Considering the ever expanding trends in car fleet modernisation, the most modern measuring digital equipment and technology are used for repair work.

Ongoing specialised training is provided for the service staff dealing with steering-swivel geometry and axle alignments, the alignment of the entire trailer and the flatness tolerance of the framework, comprehensive diagnostics and reading of hidden faults of the operational units followed by the repair and further special work necessary for good quality service provision. The scope of activity of the metrological centre includes assembly, service and verification of the analogue and digital tachographs.

The company business activity systematically seeks to expand the spare part assortment for trucks, commercial vehicles and trailers from domestic production, including specified spare parts for foreign vehicles.

The business operation is on a wholesale and retail basis, directly linked to the distribution of the spare parts and sales in our own shops which sell spare parts and accessories for buses, trucks and private cars.

Additional services include the sale of ALUCAR, TOM bolsters and stanchions, Ringfeder, VBG trailer equipment, VBG blocks with underride protection and Onspot automatic snow chains system from VBG Group Truck Equipment AB.
